Teleconference Center
The cSite operating rooms (2, 2a, 3, 5, 6, 7, 8, 58, 39, 30, & 31) and Angio Suites (FB21 & 25) are linked to our state-of-the-art teleconference room that allows real time, intrasurgical transmission for educational purposes. Our teleconference center is staffed with an experienced team of video technicians and encompasses the following amenities:
- 35-seat auditorium
- Large central screen for:
-OR viewing
-Live surgery viewing
-Power point presentations
-Other video conferencing services
- 8-smaller side screens for multi-shot viewing
- Wireless microphone capability (direct communication with surgeon in the OR)
- International teleconference capacity
Surgical Simulation Center
A special fully equipped surgical simulation center within cSite allows surgeons to practice least invasive surgical techniques. Medical students, residents, fellows and other physicians can take advantage of basic suturing equipment as well as advanced computerized models to improve their laparoscopic skills. This area can also be used by vendors to showcase their latest instruments. Our center currently houses the following simulators:

- SAGES FLS Training Box
- Stryker Lap Trainer
- Basic Training Boxes
Wet Lab
In combination with the didactic session, physicians can translate their theoretical knowledge into technical skills, by conducting hands-on procedures in cSite’s wet lab using cadavers or animals. The lab is equipped with the following amenities:
- Over 2,000 square feet of lab space
- 9 full function operating room tables
- Overhead boom lights
- Full anesthetic equipment
- Coolers, freezers, safety supplies, and clothing
- Laparoscopic and endoscopic instruments
- Classroom (seats 20, includes white board and projection screen)
- Allows use of whole, fresh cadavers
- Able to perform animal studies that are fully compliant with the Institutional Animal Care & Usage committee (IACUC)
